At the point of engagement (where you sign the forms and pay your deposit to ‘secure the day’), we agree a schedule to cover off the following things:

• A detailed questionnaire and conversations to work out the structure of ceremony as well as the style and content.

• We agree a broad ‘script’ and running order

• I write your ‘story’ and design the rituals and other activities that may be involved. (I may need to chat with other people whose input you would like)!

• I help you write your vows together or individually and rehearse them with you.

• You can have a therapy/coaching session if appropriate to solidify your marriage processes (very useful if not a first marriage!)

• Briefing other people involved in the ceremony

• Wedding rehearsal (zoom or in person)

• I’ll be at the venue long before you to have everything sorted out and all the arrangement s worked out (zoom access - special tables etc)

• I’ll deliver the ceremony and leave you with a ceremonial keepsake of your script - plus all the bit n bobs that may need to be dealt with (handcrafting knots, clocks, flowers etc)

• Then I’ll make sure all the arrangements for the reception are dealt with so everyone gets there safely…

Then I’ll pack away, raise a ‘glass’ to your success and future happiness and head back to the gorgeous North East of the UK

Think about weddings as having two aspects - the ‘legal’ bits and the ceremony itself where you celebrate with your family. friends and posse!

If you are looking at a wedding celebration, for any marriage to be recognised in law in England & Wales, a legally-binding ceremony, commonly known as a ‘registration of a marriage’, must take place, normally at a Register Office. The service can be very short and basic, and does not have to involve the exchange of rings or vows if you don’t want it to. Once completed, you then have the choice of where, how and when you want to exchange your vows and rings, and enjoy your celebrations. (Check your local registration district for up to date information on ceremony availability)

So once the ‘legals’ are done the ceremony can take place. (sometimes the other way around is possible as well…!)

Fees are simple to arrange

• You can pay in either 2 or 3 installments.

• The initial (non refundable) fee is paid to secure the date (I only ever do one wedding per day)

• The middle installment (especially if there’s a long gap between the initial reservation and the ceremony) is pay at least 9 weeks before the ceremony. (This is also non-refundable)

• The final (non refundable) part is paid 4 weeks before the ceremony
